My name is Erika Hansen and I am a licensed acupuncturist in Colorado. I have my masters in Oriental medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College and have studied in Hanoi, Vietnam in the National Institute for Traditional Medicine. I practice acupuncture for muscular- skeletal injuries, internal medicine, and facial rejuvenation. The injuries I have had the best success treating are neck pain, shoulder pain (including shoulder impingement), knee pain, and hip pain. I also practice Chinese herbal medicine. In my office I have a powdered Chinese herb pharmacy where I prepare custom formulas for each client that wants to take herbs. Some problems such as neck pain respond to just acupuncture where other disorders such as menstrual problems or digestive disorders respond to acupuncture and herbal treatment in conjunction. My goal is to help the client help themselves get better. Acupuncture is holistic medicine so I feel it is important in some cases to make lifestyle changes or use other therapies in conjunction with acupuncture, such as chiropractic or hypnotherapy. I am happy to work with medical doctors and other practitioners that you are already seeing or I have recommended.

I also practice acupuncture for facial rejuvenation. This technique is used to lift the face and eyebrows, sculpt the cheeks, even the color of the face, reduce the size of pores, and reduce wrinkles. My clients have really enjoyed the results they have gotten from the 12 session treatment that takes place over 9 weeks. This process brings new blood and energy (qi) to the face and leaves the client looking and feeling younger. I feel it is important to treat the client’s constitution at the same time while doing the facial treatments because this ensures better longer lasting results.

My goal as a practitioner is to give you an honest expectation of the results I can achieve with the disorder you are suffering. If I don’t think I can help you I will refer you to someone who I think can help you. I will also give you an estimation of how long I think it will take for you to get better under my care
